About

DNB Medicine is an independent study resource for General Medicine (DNB/MD) trainees in India, built and maintained by doctors who have been through the same training pathway.

What this site is

We organise the General Medicine curriculum the way trainees actually study for it: system-wise notes for the wards and theory exam, structured approaches for clinical cases and viva, and a plain guide to the DNB process itself — thesis, log books, and exam format.

What this site is not

  • We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) or any university.
  • Nothing on this site is official guidance for exam eligibility, counselling, or registration — always confirm those details on the NBEMS website or with your institution.
  • Content here is for medical trainees and professionals; it is not intended as advice for individual patients. See our Disclaimer.

Our approach

Every page is written or reviewed against standard reference textbooks (Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, Davidson’s Principles and Practice of Medicine, API Textbook of Medicine) and cross-checked for accuracy before publishing. We correct pages when we’re shown to be wrong — if you spot an error, please tell us.
